Client Accountant (Insurance), Soweto

Assistant Vice President | Acumen Group | Outsourcing | Remote Resources | Recruitment | South Africa, UK, Bermuda |… We’re looking for a Client Accountant to join a growing UK finance team. This role is ideal for a CA(SA) with 0 to 3 years post‑qualification experience, preferably with insurance industry exposure.

About the Role

You’ll support a portfolio of clients by delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong controls and ensuring deadlines are met. You’ll work closely with internal teams, clients and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare management accounts, statutory accounts and regulatory returns

Maintain ledgers and client records

Process and approve journals, payments and reference data

Monitor cash balances and manage invoices

Process payroll

Liaise with auditors, clients and regulatory bodies

Support audits and assist with ad‑hoc projects

Follow and improve internal controls and procedures

What We’re Looking For

CA(SA)

Insurance industry experience

Strong reporting and accounting skills

Attention to detail and excellent time management

Confident communicator and team player

Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook

Knowledge of insurance regulatory returns is a bonus
