Role Overview
An excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and detail-driven Property Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of luxury lodges within a remote hospitality environment. This hybrid role combines on-site lodge engagement with flexible remote working, ensuring strong financial control, reporting accuracy, and strategic financial support across multiple properties. Remote (Based in Nelspruit or Surrounding Areas). Salary: Negotiable (DOE).Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations&Controls
Oversee all property-level finance functions in line with group SOPs Review and approve purchase orders and ensure correct budget allocation Manage cash flow, including petty cash and credit card reconciliations Validate daily revenue submissions and ensure accurate financial reporting Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and operating equipment registersOversee inventory control, variance analysis, and stock system validation
Budgeting, Reporting&Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and insights Produce flash reports and financial projections for decision-making Support pricing strategy for extras and ancillary revenue streams
Audit, Compliance&Internal Controls
Ensure strong internal controls are implemented and maintained Assist with external audits and ensure complete documentation readiness Ensure compliance with financial policies and group standards
Stakeholder&Operational Support
Act as the key financial liaison between lodges and head office Collaborate with HR on gratuities, deductions, and payroll-related matters Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams Assist in training departments on financial processes and controls
Requirements
BCom degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum 5 years’ finance experience (at least 2 years in hospitality essential) Strong experience with budgeting, reporting, and financial controls Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills Experience with Sage (Intacct preferred) Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilityExcellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance teams Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a hybrid/remote setup Willingness to travel to lodge sites when required
