Experience

5–10 years’ experience in the insurance industry (short-term/commercial/Assets All Risks/personal lines/travel)

Managing and growing existing client portfolio

New business development

Client retention

Key Responsibilities

Manage and service an allocated portfolio of insurance clients

Actively source, develop, and secure new business opportunities

Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

Conduct client reviews and risk assessments

Provide tailored insurance solutions aligned with client needs

Prepare and present quotations and proposals

Negotiate terms with insurers and underwriting partners

Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are adhered to

Maintain accurate client records and documentation (own administration)

Assist with claims support and resolution if and where required

Qualifications&Requirements

RE5

FAIS compliance

NQF Level 4/5 in Short-Term Insurance or industry recognised qualification

Strong sales and negotiation skills

Client-facing experience with excellent communication abilities

Attention to detail - compliance and documentation

Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and policy structures

Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Although position is in office own vehicle and license is required for client visits

Excellent English language skills– speaking and writing
