Provide quality basic nursing care services under the supervision of a Professional Nurse within the scope of practice as defined by the SANC and Charter of Nursing. Demonstrate basic communication with patients, supervisors and other clinicians. Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the professional nurse in his/ her area of allocation. The supervision of nursing according to the scope of practice of nurses for his/her category will be his/her responsibility. Adherence to the principles of nursing practice according to the scope of practice, all quality assurance standards as well as set rules and standards of nursing in his/ her area. Work effectively, cooperatively, amicably with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious difference. Display a concern for patients, promoting and advocating basic care including awareness and willingness to respond to patients’ needs, requirements and expectations (Batho Pele).Employer
