Insurance: The insurance industry focuses on analyzing risks and protecting individuals and companies. Common roles in the field include actuaries, underwriters, and claims analysts. For most roles, you will need a bachelor’s degree in either mathematics or statistics, but in some cases, this may not be necessary. To work as an insurance agent or sales representative, for example, some companies will accept people without a higher education degree.
