We're creating a brand-new role to support our operational and administration teams as we continue to grow. About us Queensland Rigging Hire provides a wide range of lifting and rigging equipment to the crane, construction, resources, engineering, stevedoring and other heavy industry segments across northern Australia from our modern headquarters in Willawong. QRH is owned by Axel Johnson International a fifth-generation family-owned company based in Stockholm Sweeden, we are internationally back but locally managed, we are part of the Australian Lifting Solutions Group with six companies employing 150 people across 19 locations in five states. On a day-to day basis we're working with some of Australia's largest infrastructure projects with rigging equipment solutions, hoisting equipment in heavy engineering applications at Central Queensland mines through to most of SEQ's Mobile Crane companies with many and varied rigging equipment supply needs. We own more than 5000 pieces of equipment for dry hire catering for rental contacts that can be in duration from one day to more than a year. About the Role This is an office-based Internal Sales and Operations Support position located at our Willawong facility. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with an RDO once a month. Reporting to the Branch Manager you will work closely with our rental operations team to ensure smooth day-to-day performance across the business. This is a varied role that suits someone who is organised, confident on the phone, and able to work independently. Key Responsibilities Answering incoming calls and responding to web-based enquiries Creating quotes and providing all equipment specifications Following up on all quotes and enquiries Internal sales support and customer service Entering hire contracts and processing orders Organising freight and coordinating dispatch Stock control and basic inventory management Assisting in the warehouse as required Local deliveries when needed Supporting development of new business opportunities General operational and admin support to the wider team About You To be successful, you must come from the lifting and rigging industry and be familiar with the equipment, terminology, and customer needs. We're looking for someone who has: Australian work rights are required for this position. Experience in the lifting and rigging or related industrial sector (essential) Minimum of 3-5 years of lifting and rigging industry experience is required Experience in the lifting and rigging rental market would be advantageous Strong computer skills and excellent phone manner Attention to detail, you will be dealing in very specific product applications Ability to work without supervision and manage workloads effectively A friendly, positive, team-focused attitude A current car license (required) A forklift license (ideal but not essential) Willingness to occasionally help in the warehouse or with deliveries Reliable transport to travel to our Willawong site What We Offer Approx.
