IT Support Specialist, Springs

Minimum Qualifications

National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Strong MS SQL Server skills (Query writing and DB maintenance)

Strong accounting or actuarial background (advantageous)

Advanced Excel skills (linking sheets to databases, pivots, formulas etc)

Programming skills and qualifications (VBA, C#, ASP.NET, Python etc) (advantageous)

CompTIA A+ Certification (advantageous)

CompTIA Network+ Certification (advantageous)

Relevant IT support or systems administration certifications.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in an IT support or IT administration role.

Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.

Knowledge of networking principles, routers, switches, and wireless systems.

Experience with hardware troubleshooting and software installations.

Exposure to cybersecurity practices and data protection principles.

Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, FMCG, or abattoir environment will be advantageous.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced operational environment.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.

Basic networking and server administration knowledge.

Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.

Knowledge of printers, CCTV systems, VoIP systems, biometric systems, and access control systems will be beneficial.

Willingness to work after hours, weekends, or standby when operationally required. Note that the abattoir is a 24/7 operation.

Own reliable transport will be advantageous– 2x4 or 4x4 advantageous for farm.

Clear criminal record may be required.
