Asset Manager - Renewable Energy Industry, Port Elizabeth

Hire Resolve's Client is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee the operations and profitability of designated renewable energy assets. The Asset Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring health, safety, environmental compliance, performance optimization, and revenue management.

Responsibilities:

Oversee compliance with HSE and Quality policies in collaboration with the Site Team, including incident reporting.

Provide ongoing technical management of infrastructure assets to maximize their value.

Optimize asset performance according to risk profiles.

Deliver technical and commercial reports to investors and stakeholders, supporting internal performance assessments.

Conduct site inspections to ensure standards are met.

Monitor and report site findings and non-conformances.

Identify and track plant performance indicators.

Participate in project and client meetings to stay engaged in asset management.

Serve as a backup on-call for system events and liaise with grid operators.

Ensure adherence to plant operating and maintenance standards.

Manage main project contracts for legal compliance and profitability.

Represent the company's interests at the project level to maximize ROI and profitability.

Manage budgets and track costs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing an operational plant.

At least 3 years of renewable energy asset management or related experience.

Strong commercial judgment and technical skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with a results-oriented approach.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Ability to work independently.

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional local languages is advantageous.

Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver’s license.
