Senior Financial Accountant (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

A well-established organisation in the healthcare sector is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical expertise, recent stock and fixed asset experience, and the ability to produce accurate management accounts within strict deadlines.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations while working closely with operational management and supporting business performance through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Minimum Requirements

• Financial Accounting Degree
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accountant role
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Evolution and Sage Intacct
• Recent stock and fixed asset accounting experience is essential
• Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Ability to take initiative and contribute positively within a team environment

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate accounting records
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform reconciliations of financial records and accounts
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Assist with audits and regulatory reporting requirements
• Monitor and manage stock and fixed asset accounting processes
• Work closely with Facility Managers and operational teams
• Support continuous improvement within the finance function
