Maintenance Manager and Projects, Port Elizabeth

Manufacturing concern is seeking a Maintenance Manager + Projects.

Purpose:
Ensures equipment reliability and lead new installations, upgrades, and capital projects. This role is critical to operational efficiency and strategic growth, with responsibilities including team leadership, budget management, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will drive continuous mprovement initiatives, implement modern manufacturing practices, and foster a motivated, high performing team.

Educational Qualifications & Personal Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
• GMR2 Certification (Preferred) 

Skill, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years in maintenance and project engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proven track record in managing capital projects and equipment reliability programs.
Experience in leading teams and managing budgets effectively.
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, reliability engineering, and project management principles.
Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
