Breakdown Technician, Port Elizabeth

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ø Ability to analyze drawings and pictures for fault finding;

Ø Assembling of all mechanical parts on a trailer and tanker;

Ø Knowledge of trailer and tanker parts;

Ø Knowledge of welding;

Ø Using a cutting torch, drilling machines and grinding work;

Ø Help with break downs:

Ø Fault finding on all air systems

Ø Fitment of new ABS systems

Ø Knowledge of electric aspects on all trailers

Ø Knowledge of pneumatics

Ø Service on trailers and tankers

Ø Ad hoc tasks

REQUIREMENTS

Ø Matric;

Ø Minimum 3 years’ experience in the trailer manufacturing and repairs environment.

Ø Basic communication skills and abilities;

Ø Ability to read drawings and to work under minimal supervision;

Ø Knowledge of repair work on tankers and trailers;

Ø Ability to work in a team;

Ø Bilingual;

Ø Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport;

Ø Must be able to work long hours, overtime and be on stand-by.
