Description

Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety Management:
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and lead incident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
    • Plan and conduct internal health and safety audits, ensuring compliance with OHS and other relevant Act’s, regulations and standards.
    • Monitor compliance testing for equipment and occupational hygiene findings.
    • Develop emergency response systems, including fire safety, medical emergencies, and disaster recovery plans.
    • Establish and maintain legal health and safety appointments.
    • Align health and safety goals with overall business objectives and track performance metrics.
  • Environmental Management:
    • Oversee waste management, environmental impact assessments, and sustainability initiatives.
    • Promote eco-friendly practices and implement continuous environmental improvements.
  • Employee Engagement & Training:
    • Organise and facilitate safety training programs, including hazard awareness and proper PPE usage.
    • Promote mental health and well-being initiatives to foster a holistic safety culture.
    • Encourage employee feedback and participation in health and safety programs.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in a Health and Safety Managerial role
  • Experience in FMCG would be beneficial
