Purpose:
To ensure the safety of personnel, property and assets by preventing security breaches, detecting potential risks and responding to incidents.
Key duties:
To ensure the safety of personnel, property and assets by preventing security breaches, detecting potential risks and responding to incidents.
Key duties:
- Ensure that only authorised persons are granted access to site
- Conduct patrols within the premises to check for suspicious activity, unlocked doors, or safety hazards
- Conduct general surveillance to identify unusual or risky behaviour
- Respond to emergencies as required – respond to fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches, and initiating evacuation procedures if needed
- Compile incident reports, as required
- Valid PSIRA Grade C registration (or higher)
- Valid drivers license
- Valid handgun competency
- Minimum two years experience as an Armed Officer
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Ability to work under pressure
- Physical and medical fitness
- Propensity to be trained as a first aider
