PRODUCTION AND PROPAGATION COORDINATOR, Port Elizabeth

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

BSc Horticulture or BSc Agriculture (Plant Production or related field)

National Diploma: Horticulture or equivalent NQF Level 6 or higher

Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering (Agriculture), Operations Management or Production Planning

Certification in Supply Chain Management, Project Management or Production Planning and Control

Minimum 2–3 years in a production planning, operations coordination, or horticulture management role

Prior experience in wholesale horticulture or large‑scale agriculture is a strong advantage.

Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multi‑species crop schedules in a commercial growing environment.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel— scheduling models, production dashboards, cost tracking

Exposure to ERP or production management software (Pastel)

Sound understanding of plant propagation biology and commercial growing principles— essential.

Structured, analytical thinker who is comfortable working with production data and numbers.

Strong organiser capable of managing multiple crop lines and competing priorities simultaneously.

Initiative‑taking and accountable — can work independently and as part of a broader team.

Hands‑on mindset — comfortable in an outdoor agricultural production environment

Reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to quality outcomes.
