Quality Lab Inspector, Port Elizabeth

Position Responsibilities:

Using the CMM to measure product and conduct visual inspection for issuing of first-offs, SPC tracking and Capability studies Analyse the CMM results, inform relevant personnel on any discrepancies, raise and follow-up on containments (non-conformities), when required Using measuring instruments (verniers, micrometers, etc) to conduct manual measuring of significant characteristicsSupport with conduct of Routine testing requirements and Product audits Position Requirements: Minimum essential tertiary qualification: N6 in Quality or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Quality specific training in Core Tools (eg SPC) and CSR’s would be advantageous Minimum 3 years experience in Machine Shop and at least 2 years work experience in a manufacturing plant would be advantageousShould have thorough knowledge of the Machine Shop and IATF processes Thorough knowledge of Quality standards Knowledge of Problem Solving Methodologies Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications
