Accountant Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) Market-related salary An established and growing healthcare management organisation is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team in Port Elizabeth / GQ. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager: Finance and Accounting and you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting operational excellence across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly management accounts

Perform VAT (VAT201) calculations, submissions, and reconciliations

Submit EMP201 returns

Manage bank-related transactions and reconciliations

Review and approve creditors reconciliations

Process month-end journals and financial data

Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions and loan accounts

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors

Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning

Engage with Facility Managers to resolve queries and provide financial support

Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements

Experience with SAGE Intacct or Evolution Accounting

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment

Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance

Intermediate to advanced Excel and MS Office skills

Ability to quickly grasp industry-specific (healthcare) requirements
