An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant General Management Couple to join a well-established rural coastal hotel on South Africa’s Wild Coast. Supporting the General Managers, this hands‑on leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, driving exceptional guest experiences, and ensuring the smooth running of all departments within a busy resort environment. The role requires strong hospitality and leadership capability, as well as the ability to speak and understand Xhosa, ensuring respectful and authentic engagement with guests, staff, and the local community. This is a unique lifestyle position suited to a couple who enjoy immersive hospitality, community engagement, and working within a close‑knit coastal setting. Beyond operational leadership, the role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with local suppliers and the surrounding community, contributing meaningfully to the property’s authentic presence in the region.Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of all resort departments. Drive exceptional guest experiences. Ensure smooth running of all departments within a busy resort environment. Engage respectfully and authentically with guests, staff, and the local community. Build strong relationships with local suppliers and the surrounding community.Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of senior hotel or resort management experience. Stable work history with a commitment to remain with the company for a minimum of 5 years. A couple with solid experience in both F&B management and front office/rooms division management. Comprehensive understanding of hospitality operations. Strong team‑management and leadership skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to speak and understand Xhosa language and culture. Guest‑focused approach with a passion for exceeding expectations.Financial acumen and knowledge of labour legislation. Proficiency in administration and organisational tasks. Excellent references from previous employers. Comfortable living and working in a remote coastal location. Salary&Benefits
