As a Project Assistant within NHSGGC’s Glasgow Clinical Research Facility, you will play a key role in supporting innovative clinical research that improves patient care and outcomes across the region. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential administrative and technical support to ensure research projects run efficiently from start‑up through to completion. All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

You will be based at the Institute of Neurological Science, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

Working Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 to 17:00

Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative and project support to research teams across a range of clinical studies

Co‑ordinate key components of research projects, including documentation management, approvals and timelines

Support research nurses and investigators with technical and procedural aspects of clinical trials

Maintain accurate and detailed records, including data collection through paper and electronic systems

Communicate effectively with research participants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Monitor project progress and identify any risks or issues, escalating appropriately to senior staff

Ensure all work is carried out in line with research regulations, policies and good clinical practice standards

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and Experience Required

Previous clerical or administrative experience or a recognised qualification in administration

Experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment with an understanding of care settings

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to work confidently with IT systems

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload

Effective verbal and written communication skills with good literacy and numeracy

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also using initiative to work independently

Ability and willingness to travel across NHSGGC sites and adapt to a busy and varied working environment
