Financial Controller, Port Elizabeth

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the full finance function

Able to map processes, identify risks and inefficiencies and report back on them

Experience in preparing AFS and tax reconciliations

Good understanding of IFRS and Tax legislation

Experience in reviewing recons and ensuring they meet timelines and are accurate

Logical and methodical in approach

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes

Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal controls

Oversee audit preparation and liaise with external auditors

Analyse financial performance and provide strategic insights to management

Review reconciliations, journals, and balance sheet controls

Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department

Support commercial and operational teams with financial guidance

Mentor and supervise junior finance staff

Minimum Requirements

Qualified CA(SA)

Completed SAICA article

Strong technical accounting and reporting skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar)

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
