Junior Accountant, Gqeberha

Job Description

·         Capture and reconcile financial transactions including sales, purchases and expenses in accordance with company processes

·         Maintain general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of trial balances

·         Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

·         Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including supplier invoices, customer billing and follow up on outstanding payments

·         Assist with VAT, and other statutory submissions to SARS

·         Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards

·         Support payroll processing and statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL)

·         Monitor cash flow and prepare bank reconciliations

·         Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules

·         Assist in monitoring raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring accurate costing of products

·         Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis as and when required  

Requirements

·         Grade 12

·         3 year Accounting Degree / Diploma

·         Minimum 3 years accounting experience

·         Knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance requirements

·         Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel)

·         Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

·         Valid drivers license
