MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of Matric
- Must have a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Development - NQF Level 4 (SAQA Accredited))
- Must have SACE Registration
- Montessori Accredited age 6-9 Primary School Qualification (Advantageous)
- Must have 1-3 years' working experience within a Child Care environment within a luxury hospitality environment (Advantageous)
- Must have a good understanding of Health & Safety
- Must have a valid First Aid Level 1 or 2 qualification
- Must have basic knowledge of wildlife
- Must be physically fit
- Must be sensitive to visual, auditory, taste, smell and touch signals
- Valid driver's licence (no endorsements)
- Own reliable vehicle / transport
- Must be willing to accept a live-in position, excluding meals
- Have a clear criminal record
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Exceptional communication and reporting skills (written & verbal)
- Good organisational skills
- Must be proficient is MS Packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Main duties & Job Function:
- The Adventure Centre Leader oversees, coordinates and direct the service, operations, logistics and activities of the Adventure Centre. The Adventure Centre Leader takes responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the Adventure Centre as their primary operational responsibility.
- The Adventure Centre Leader responds to the requests that are presented by the Guests, Department Managers, and the Market (where involving services provided by the Adventure Centre).
- This role works closely with the relevant Lodge Teams to ensure a coordinated effort between the different teams and to ensure service and product is delivered in excellence, that facilities and equipment are in perfect condition and working order. The role also ensures that guests receive exceptional levels of personalised service at all times.
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities: -
- Effectively utilises software applications and communication tools that are used to obtain guest booking and preferences relating to kids' activities
- Effectively manages processes and systems that enable guests to be comfortably accommodated to the highest standards of the Adventure Centre
- Effectively utilises property management software and tools to monitor the preferences of Guests
- Effectively manages processes and systems that ensure the safety and security of the Adventure Centre, its guests and employees
- Takes accountability for the performance of the functions of the Adventure Centre
- Plan and secure the efficient delivery of a creative, fun-filled and appropriate daily programme of age activities from 3 -16 years old
- Develop a staffing structure, training and job descriptions in conjunction with Human Resources as the Adventure Centre grows as an add-on feature for accommodation guests, kiddies party venue & holiday programmes
- Ensure all the facilities are ready for guest use and that staff maintain these facilities throughout the day, servicing & cleaning when required
- Provides personal assistance, medical attention, or other personal care to guests perusing the Adventure Centre
