Design Engineer - Solar, Midrand

A fast growing Renewable energy company that undertake EPC / turnkey projects are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team. Good long term growth potential in a growing and well established leader in commercial / industrial PV.

The Design Engineer will take take initial system concept ideas and turn them into fully detailed construction ready designs. Working on commercial and industrial solar projects, the Design Engineer will have a steady pipeline of diverse projects to design, balancing the necessity of a customer solution with the efficiency of standard practices.

Skills And Competencies

• At least 3 years of design or engineering experience related to renewable energy.

• Hands on, and willing to work at all levels. Business acumen and strong client focus with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to understand complex technical and financial setups.

• Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously Any additional experience with estimating or designing electrical systems is an advantage.

• Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies

• Relevant Qualification would be beneficial Computer Program Proficiency Required
