• 2 – 3 years' experience leading a team

• Good understanding of internal controls

• Ability to handle complex transactions.

Key responsibilities include

• Prepares asset, liability, capital account, income, and expense entries by compiling and analysing source documents and information.

• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

• Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options.

• Compiling and processing journal entries.

• Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities.

• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.

• Process and perform daily reconciliations of internal financial systems.

• Process and perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts.

• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.

• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Analysing and investigating annual and monthly financial accounts.

• Preparing monthly management accounts, reports, budgets, commentaries, and financial statements.

• Liaising with managerial staff, colleagues, and clients.

• Maintain the administrative tasks associated with the accounting function.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.

• Controlling income and expenditure.

• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.

• Compute taxes and VAT and prepare tax and VAT returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
