With a commitment to sustainable farming practices and innovation, we are seeking a Financial Manager to join
our team. The Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations within the fruit export
sector, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and effectively managing
foreign exchange (Forex) transactions.

Our client’s mission is to supply the fresh produce industry from seedling to shelf, all around the globe. They
take pride in growing sustainably through nursing, producing, packing, transporting and selling of top fresh
produce.

Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Financial Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the financial operations of our fruit
export business. Reporting directly to the Farming Business Manager, the Financial Manager will play a key
role in driving financial excellence, implementing financial strategies, and ensuring adherence to IFRS
guidelines while efficiently managing Forex risks.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements,
  balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax reporting requirements.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and make recommendations for cost optimization.

3. Forex Management:

• Develop and implement Forex risk management strategies to mitigate currency exposure.
• Monitor exchange rates, execute Forex transactions, and maintain Forex records.

4. Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis, performance evaluations, and variance analysis to provide insights
  to the management team.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

5. Cash Flow Management:

• Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and support operational requirements.
• Forecast cash flow needs and optimize working capital.

6. Compliance and Auditing:

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.

7. Financial Strategy:

• Collaborate with the Farming Business Manager to develop and execute financial strategies
  that align with the company's goals and objectives.

8. Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor financial staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and
  accountability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Completed SAICA articles
• Qualified CA(SA) or CIMA advantage
• Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role within the agriculture or export industry
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with Forex risk management
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
