Our client, a global player in the mining supply industry, is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining their organization's Financial Systems, ensuring their availability, security, and optimal performance. Your responsibilities will encompass system monitoring, troubleshooting, software installation, and providing support and training to end-users.Duties&Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas: Data and Flow Management:
Monitor and manage system backups and Evolution data synchronization. Setup and configure Sage Evolution databases, implementing necessary changes. Develop and distribute custom BIC Reports as required. Field and resolve systems-related queries, supporting all Month End procedure requirements. Ensure accurate and constant data flow (Regional and Local) with minimal system "Down days" and clean data maintenance.System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups. Troubleshoot software issues promptly to ensure optimal system performance. Monitor system performance proactively to minimize downtime. User Support:
Provide end-user support, resolving software and user-related issues. Set up, configure, and maintain user accounts, assisting in training employees on IT systems and tools. Achieve good end-user feedback and conduct effective training sessions. Backup Disaster Recovery and Security Management:
Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans. Regularly test and update backup procedures for data integrity and conduct successful recoveries. Respond to data loss incidents, implement recovery processes, and maintain security policies and procedures. Monitor systems for security threats, taking preventive actions, and staying current with security best practices.Minimum Selection Criteria: Tertiary database administration qualification essential (e.g., SQL Server). Data analysis experience. Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role. Financial accounting knowledge advantageous. Strong Excel knowledge advantageous. Strong communication skills essential.Inquisitive nature to seek out, identify, and resolve issues. Ability to influence team members across the organization without direct authority.
