We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer to develop dependable supply sources and procure all required materials in line with the company’s business requirements. The successful candidate will ensure materials are sourced at competitive rates, within budget, and delivered according to build programmes while adhering to Group procurement policies and procedures.Core Purpose of the Role

To develop reliable supply sources and purchase all materials required by the company at competitive rates, ensuring timely delivery in line with build programmes and adherence to Group purchasing policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

Send out enquiries for required materials and

collate and analyse supplier quotations . Place orders with suitable suppliers

ensuring materials are purchased at competitive rates and within budget. Ensure

delivery of materials aligns with project build programmes . Monitor the

quality and performance of materials

to ensure they meet required standards. Consolidate purchases

to achieve maximum cost efficiency. Report

material issues or delivery delays

to the Procurement Manager. Ensure

Group buying agreements and deals are utilised

where applicable. Report and manage

over-deliveries

in collaboration with QS, site teams, and suppliers. Monitor

material forecasts

and communicate with suppliers to ensure monthly product availability. Review

monthly P&G invoicing , identify discrepancies, and report anomalies before submission for payment. Tertiary qualification

in a business-related field (e.g. Procurement, Business Management or similar). Minimum 7 years’ experience

as a Buyer within the

construction or residential development industry . Experience working with the

BuildSmart procurement system . Knowledge of

BEE policies and procedures

will be advantageous. Core Competencies

Strong

interpersonal and relationship management skills . High

attention to detail and accuracy . Deadline-driven

with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
