Pre-Sales Engineer: DCF (Midrand)

Job Purpose

Designing Huawei Data Center Facilities Solutions, managing the implementation of these solutions as projects, and providing assistance with sales. Duties&Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Designing

Solar PV system design including DC designs, AC designs, main equipment selection for C&I and utility scale plants. Energy Yield assessments. Plant Performance analysis. Shading analysis. AC and DC loss analysis. Cable sizing (DC, AC). PV plant layouts. Single-line diagrams. Micro-grid and battery energy storage system (BESS) design. Battery sizing. Cost estimate and tender compilation.Feasibility studies and assessments. Financial analysis and LCOE calculations. Low voltage electrical distribution network designs. Medium voltage distribution network designs. Supply contract management including compiling scope of work, technical specifications, bill of quantities, tender evaluations, negotiation with suppliers.Project Management

Project Management. Site assessment during project development phase. Site visits during construction and assisting with on-site testing and commissioning. Desired Experience&Qualification

Qualification and Experience: BSc Engineering (Electrical) or BTech Engineering (Electrical) (Required) 3 years of design and project engineering experience in Solar PV working for EPC, Developer or in Consulting environment for large-scale projects>5MW Valid drivers license and own transport Helioscope: 1 year (Required) Solar PV Design: 3 years (Required) Excellent Technical report writing, and verbal communication skills required Proficient with PV design software such as PVSyst, Helioscope Proficient with AutoCAD or similar draughting softwareProficient with Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, Power Point and MS Project Experience with sizing and selection of major equipment such as PV panels, inverters, LV/MV transformers, mounting brackets, trackers, and switchgear (LV/MV).
