C&I Sales Manager, Midrand

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced C&I Sales Manager to drive business development and sales growth in the Commercial&Industrial energy sector in South Africa. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in C&I solar / energy sales and a strong network within EPCs, installers, developers, and key commercial clients. Candidates with purely residential sales backgrounds will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies for C&I market expansion

Identify and develop new business opportunities with EPCs, project developers, distributors, and end-users

Build and maintain strong client relationships in the C&I sector

Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing

Prepare quotations, proposals, and manage commercial negotiations

Work closely with technical and aftersales teams to ensure suitable solutions for clients

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project opportunities

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Support channel development and key account management

Provide sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management

Minimum Requirements

Diploma in Engineering, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field

5+ years of sales experience in the solar / energy industry

Must have strong C&I sales experience

Strong understanding of solar PV, inverters, batteries, and energy solutions for commercial / industrial applications

Existing network with EPCs, installers, project developers, and commercial customers

Strong negotiation and business development skills

Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (own transport)

Non-Negotiable Candidates with only Residential market experience will not be considered.

Preferred

Experience working for inverter, solar, battery, or electrical product manufacturers / distributors

Technical-commercial understanding of C&I energy projects
