Key Role Act as an industrial engineering technical authority within the Energy business, providing strategic leadership, governance, and expert input to optimise project delivery, operational performance, and business efficiency across projects.
Responsibilities
Serve as the industrial engineering authority for complex and high‑value energy programmes
Define and oversee optimisation, performance, and delivery improvement strategies
Provide expert review and assurance of planning, controls, and performance frameworks
Lead high‑impact improvement initiatives and transformation programmes
Support international project delivery and cross‑regional collaboration
Advise senior stakeholders and clients on efficiency, productivity, and delivery strategy
Contribute to work‐winning, proposals, and strategic business initiatives
Mentor senior engineers and support capability development within the discipline
Ensure alignment with WSP delivery excellence, safety, and quality frameworks
Health and Safety
Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behavior consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental, and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you
Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
Embracing, displaying, and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is always maintained
Qualifications
BEng / BSc in Industrial Engineering (BTech considered with strong experience)
15 years’ experience in industrial engineering, project controls, or operational optimisation
Proven experience leading optimisation or performance improvement initiatives
Strong experience in multidisciplinary project environments
Professional registration with ECSA

Strong technical and analytical leadership capability
Confident problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Ability to lead and collaborate across disciplines and teams
Strong focus on efficiency, quality, safety, and delivery performance
