Description
PURPOSE:
To ensure that effective and efficient provision of stable network infrastructure connectivity to the Oil & Gas retail customers by managing operations to meet all SLA. The role will also oversee audit reviews and all technical functions and development projects - implementations, upgrades, optimisations, problem solving, investigations, rectifications, support and maintenance. Directing the procurement of capital equipment, negotiating with vendors and controlling assets.

EXPERIENCE:
Manage the client expectations on service delivery by:
Developing specific plans to ensure that the Network standards are adhered to, this entails:
Facilitating network planning by optimising network capacity and configuration
Ensuring optimal long-term expansion and refurbishment of the network by developing network expansion and refurbishment master plans fully integrated with the Networks Standard Plan
Ensuring that the regional network planning and implementation is coordinated
Manage the Implementation, maintain and support of the Client network infrastructure by:
Performing support functions as agreed, which include the development and implementation of planning, of all policy and standards as prescribed by the Client. Performs regular system and project audits to ensure conformance
Manage the resolution of complex network issues
Manage and plan the continuous maintenance of the network infrastructure which involves testing, upgrades and deployment.
Optimising infrastructure capabilities in line with best practice.
Manage Contractual Obligations.
Staff Training Plans to meet the skills requirement of the Contract
Manage all BAU project in the environment
Review major network changes.
Ensure that all network components are being monitored
Manage incident management on a day-to-day basis to ensure that all SLAs are met.

- IT Business related qualification
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 – 7 years’ experience in operations management with experience in:
- Management of operations
- Network services and solution support
- Financial management
- Strategy design and implementation
- Experience in Vendor/Supplier management
- Managing a large client environment with more than 500 sites
- ITIL v3 Foundation Certification (Advantageous)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) (Advantageous
Manage the client expectations on service delivery by:
Developing specific plans to ensure that the Network standards are adhered to, this entails:
- iOS Upgrade planning aligned to the remediation of vulnerabilities
- Review of the configuration templates aligned to CIS standard
- Producing network designs in accordance with Client approved standards
- Develop and update network diagrams for projects
- Liaising with relevant network specialists and operations with regards to implementation.
- Be the link between the client and the technical support team.
