Our client is seeking a Chief Expert Full Stack Developer to lead the global eInvoicing platform. This enterprise platform orchestrates the automated exchange of critical financial documents, processing statuses, vendor invoices, credit notes, and payment advices across international entities and third-party partner networks.

Operating as a globally recognized industry leader, the successful candidate will own the end-to-end technical architecture, conceptualizing entirely new cross-platform integration frameworks where no prior international blueprints exist.

You will lead strategic, large-budget migration roadmaps moving heavy legacy Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) middleware into modern, distributed Java-based, Azure-native, and event-driven streaming ecosystems.

Qualifications / Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of specialized experience in enterprise integration, middleware, or systems architecture with clear Java, cloud, and SAP FI project history.
• Proven track record delivering and operating high-volume, complex integration solutions involving IDocs, XML/JSON interfaces, and multiple cross-border partner systems.

Essential Skills Requirements

• Extensive capability to elicit, untangle, and translate complex global business requirements into highly secure technical designs that align with SAP, EAI, and cloud platforms.
• Strong, advanced hands-on Java development roots, including compiling, debugging, and deploying enterprise-grade integration components.
• Exhaustive knowledge of the existing EAI middleware landscape to seamlessly map out and engineer migration steps toward future target architectures.
• Deep functional command of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and middleware interface architectures handling massive data volumes across multi-partner networks.
• Solid functional SAP FI module knowledge, with a clear understanding of enterprise ledger workflows, payment processes, and core financial integration nodes.
• Heavy experience working with Intermediate Documents (IDocs), establishing precise structural mappings from IDoc to XML, JSON, and alternative clearing house formats for banking networks.
• Production proficiency writing and validating complex XML and JSON message payload formats.
• Practical experience designing and implementing end-to-end transaction monitoring, structured logging, and system observability for highly distributed data interfaces.
• Hands-on engineering depth utilizing Azure Cloud platform services alongside SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) custom integration setups.
• Practical familiarity building test automation frameworks to run structured integration, regression, and end-to-end verification loops.
• Elite stakeholder management skills to partner with business owners, external banking platforms, and global software teams.

Advantageous Skills Requirements

• Direct history working with enterprise eInvoicing engines, automated clearing houses, or localized Accounts Payable/Receivable automation software.
• Prior implementation experience within automotive financial ecosystems or large supplier network integrations.
• Deep hands-on exposure to Apache Kafka, data streaming clusters, and event-driven patterns as a modern replacement option for legacy middleware.
• Strong familiarity with traditional SAP integration technologies (PI/PO, CPI, BAPIs) and specialized graphical mapping utilities.
• Containerization and orchestration mastery (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Exposure to cloud-native delivery structures: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automated CI/CD engine management (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Clear technical understanding of international security, encryption, data protection, and compliance parameters for financial messaging.
• Experience creating real-time visual monitoring dashboards (WIZ, Azure dashboards, or PowerBI) tracking business KPIs and technical error rates.
• Exposure to synthetic application monitoring, SLO/SLA metrics management, automated alerting rules, and technical runbook formulation.
• Practical expertise executing performance tuning, capacity planning, and scaling procedures for massive integration topologies supporting over 120 live interfaces.

Role Requirements

• Engage with business owners and product managers to gather, refine, and prioritize technical and functional requirements for global eInvoicing tools.
• Translate business goals into enterprise technical blueprints and system design documents complying with Java, Azure, SAP, and SCP architecture standards.
• Architect and lead the end-to-end technical implementation of integration flows across a massive landscape containing 120+ active partner interfaces.
• Execute hands-on Java engineering for integration adapters, driving source code deployments through to production environments.
• Map complex SAP IDoc data fields into target XML/JSON schemas required for compliant banking and cross-border invoicing communications.
• Build and scale automated integration, regression, and end-to-end testing models to facilitate seamless software releases.
• Audit legacy EAI components and author comprehensive migration roadmaps, selecting and proving optimal modern frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Azure-native apps).
• Implement end-to-end logging frameworks and custom observability views (including WIZ dashboards) to provide live tracking for financial transaction lifecycles.
• Evaluate and embed AI capabilities where appropriate to automate anomaly detection, historical data validation, and advanced transaction analytics.
• Formulate robust deployment runbooks and partner with DevOps teams to secure bulletproof CI/CD pipelines, release gates, and automated rollback strategies.
• Act as a technical multiplier by coaching, training, and mentoring junior and advanced integration engineers.
