About the job Contracts Manager (Contract) Midrand Role Summary:
This role is based ona 3-year contract.Negotiate and manage group purchasing contracts in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop procurement strategies. Manage the tender and contract award process for new contracts and contract renewals.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management, or equivalent.
5 - 8 years of experience in a corporate procurement environment managing tender process.
Structuring of business transactions and advertising on the procurement strategy.
Solid practical experience managing tenders / RFQ etc both incoming and outgoing tenders
Business processes experience.
Advanced level of Office 365.
Own reliable transport to commute to work
Duties:
Responsible for driving the E-tender and catalog system in the organization to define and build system needs.
Experience in NGO / NPO space
Tender evaluation process and due diligence
Tender process documents to comply with all legal requirements.
Ensure that a cost-effective e-tender and catalog system is in place.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
Keep abreast of business systems and new developments.
Manage procurement activities throughout the purchasing and supply chain.
Develop procurement policies, procedures, and processes.
Create cost savings opportunities from bulk buying, pooling of efforts, and economies of scale.
Reporting relevant information to management.
Manage a challenging customer base.
Frequent domestic travel to areas where member institutions are located.
