Midrand, Gauteng (Hybrid) 12-Month Contract (Possible Extension)
A leading Investments Institution is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic business and technology initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment to business objectives, governance standards, timelines, budgets, and quality requirements. This role requires a strong delivery-focused professional with excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and status reports.
Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, vendors, and external stakeholders.
Facilitate project governance forums, steering committees, and stakeholder engagements.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Drive alignment between business objectives, project deliverables, and strategic priorities.
Support business transformation, process optimisation, and digital modernisation initiatives.
Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting to senior leadership and PMO stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to organisational project management methodologies, governance, and compliance requirements.
Manage project communications and stakeholder expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.Support resource planning, vendor coordination, and financial tracking activities.
Experience&Key Deliverables Experience delivering projects such as:
Enterprise transformation initiatives
Digital and technology implementation projects
Process optimisation and operational improvement initiatives
System implementation and integration projects
Customer and operational experience enhancements
Cross-functional strategic delivery programmes
Minimum Requirements
Relevant Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5–8+ years' experience in Project Management roles within enterprise environments.
Proven experience delivering business and technology projects end-to-end.
Strong understanding of:
Project management methodologies
Risk and issue management
Budget and resource management
Stakeholder engagement
Change management principles
Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities effectively.
Advantageous
Experience within financial services, development finance, or public sector environments.
PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certifications advantageous.
Experience with project management tools such as:
MS Project
Jira
Azure DevOps
Confluence
Power BI
Exposure to enterprise transformation and digital modernisation programmes.
