Logistics Specialist, Midrand

As a Logistics Specialist, you support the organization on all Supply Chain Execution activities (Import/Export, Warehousing, Transportation, etc.). You participate in cross-functional projects with internal and external partners, continually seeking creative ways to improve productivity.

What You'll Do On behalf of Hilti, you will interface with service providers to ensure on-time imports and exports, manage all aspects of warehousing operations (inbound, inventory, outbound, reverse logistics), and perform administrative activities to meet customer business requirements. You must achieve cost productivity, efficiencies and/or service improvements by:

Working cross‑functionally with most departments of our organization.

Using lean management methodology and tools to sustainably solve root‑cause issues.

Adapting global standards and guidelines to market specificities.

In addition, you work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to ensure better service to our customers, understanding and communicating global KPIs and performance management reporting. You also manage costs, conduct audits, and ensure that risk‑mitigating controls are in place across operations.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelors/Honors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering.

Minimum of 3–6 years of supply‑chain experience in distribution, warehousing or operational projects, with clear achievements such as operations performance improvement, KPI management, process implementation.

Knowledge of imports/exports is advantageous.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a continuous‑improvement approach; Lean methodology experience is advantageous.

High proficiency in Excel and Power BI.

Experience working with SAP preferred.

Proficiency in English with strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral.

High level of motivation, customer focus, and sense of urgency; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.

Willingness to work in warehouse and office environments.
