Solutions Architect (Contract) - Gauteng/Hybrid - ISB5002845, Midrand

We're seeking a strategic Solutions Architect with 8+ years of IT experience and proven expertise in backend and frontend development with strong stakeholder management skills.

The ideal candidate has hands-on understanding of custom digital solution development, microservices, AWS cloud, and production support responsibilities.

Demonstrable experience managing complex system design, international best practice implementation, and technical leadership is essential.

Strong Agile and DevOps mindset with ability to lead team leaders and manage complex global retail solutions is critical.

Lead and manage the Digital Sales Equipment product for Retail Point of Sales, building and managing all CMS, virtual experience, and delivery applications for the global Group, driving strategic product direction and operational excellence.

Digital sales equipment for the Retail Point of Sales. Product Vision 2020: Customers have a retail experience around their desired vehicle.

This gives them immediate joy, excitement and emotions. In this way, we achieve brand-adequate product visualization that clearly distinguishes us as an innovation leader from the competition.

We integrate ourselves seamlessly into the existing retail processes and IT tools and thus create a convenient and seamless sales experience for customers and employees.

Examples of applications in the product: POS.Digital a CMS System which handles the content Video and Web for more than 8000 players at dealership.

Emotional Virtual Experience EVE shows the customer the configured or stock vehicle in an emotional way. Used by dealer channel applications and some local DMS systems. Substitutes of EVE: Digital brochure, EVE Cloud.

Delivery APP DAPP is an iOS App that helps while the delivery process to hand over the vehicle to the customer.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum mandatory qualifications:

• Degree in IT or relevant experience
• 8+ years Experience
• Agile working experience Mandatory

Essential Skills Requirements
Technical Development:

• Minimum of 8 years working experience in development Backend and Frontend experience and knowledge and custom digital solution development
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in web development using JavaScript primarily
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Technical Solutions Architect
  Experience with software design patterns and object-oriented design

Architecture and Design:

• Solution design involving all stakeholders Business, Business Analysts, Developers, UI, UX Design solutions that are scalable, catering for requirements for various international markets 80 percent standard and 20 percent customizable, with functionality encapsulated in APIs that can be integrated with legacy or other systems, and frontends that are expandable
• Propose and review system designs and evaluate alternatives
• Review and present proposals or system solutions to internal team and Product Owner or Business team

Agile and DevOps:

• Participate in stand-ups and meet with end users and other stakeholders and gather requirements together with Business analysts
• Analyse and implement new system requirements specifications
• Assist with generating a breakdown of user stories to estimate technical delivery and manage those deliverables with the technical team

Stakeholder Management:

• Ensure that all processes are investigated or considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements
• Detailed technical documentation relevant to all stakeholders

Soft Skills:

• Assist with identifying and mitigating risks on the project
• Troubleshoot technical issues, provide guidance and direction to technical team when required
• Production support and hyper-care after production deployments

• Solution Design and Delivery:
• Assist developers in developing systems or solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
• Code review of developer outputs
• System testing or parallel runs and assist QA in testing systems or solutions
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and fix Defects on all environments

Technical Leadership:

• Deployment and release activities
• System audits or quality assurance
• Can solve escalated tasks that require a deep understanding of the product or service for which there are no senior level authority to defer the task to
• Can lead team leaders who each have their own team members

Strategic Collaboration:

• Outcomes are complex and require the integration of several nuanced systems and processes in order to deliver on the required standards
• Create a product or system based on international best practice or guidelines from other companies that have implemented the same or similar solutions
