Agricultrual extension officer, Tzaneen

The

successful candidate will be based in Nkowankowa and must have a B/BSc Agric qualification

and will be from the designated group. The candidate will be fully computer literate with good

Excel skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with at least 3-5 years'

experience in the following aspects:

 Be fully conversant in Afrikaans and English due to the nature of our business;

 Has excellent interpersonal relationship skills;

 Has a proven record of problem solving skills;

 Has good feedback and report writing skills.

 Conclude seasonal requirements with the Agric Manager.

 Consult with nurseries on piquante pepper seedlings.

 Schedule weekly farm visits to monitor crop progress.

 Report progress on recruitment, production, and Farmer complaints.

 Share operational info, technical advice, and compliance updates with growers.

 Advise growers on land preparation, fertilizer and chemical spray programs, planting,

irrigation, harvesting, packaging, and transport.

 Ensure growers follow technical and safety standards.

 Conduct farm visits, provide technical guidance, and document crop progress.

 Handle grower concerns, complaints, and inquiries.

 Organize grower meetings and study groups.

 Promote compliance with the company's Growers Manual and certification standards.

 Knowledge on the cultivation of peppers will be an advantage.
