The Purpose of the role:

• Exciting opportunity for a career start in Mineral Exploration with a team in the Northern Cape.
• Be part of an exceptionally aggressive exploration and resource development drive and gain exposure to multiple world-class base metal orebodies.
• Get exposure to state of the art technology, ranging from geophysics, 2D/3D software, databases, modelling, and digital processes.
• Work with experienced Brownfields and Greenfields explorers, and tap into a professional multi-national community working on a range of projects in Africa and India.

Minimum requirements:

• BSc Honours Degree (1st class) in Geology. MSc degree preferred.
• Excellent science marks in school and university.
• Passionate about geology and geoscience.
• Min 0-3 years' experience in exploration or mining geology.
• Some experience and outputs in geological mapping.
• Flexible, ability to stay in remote locations.
• Eligible to live and work in South Africa.

Key work outputs and accountabilities:

Initial work will focus on:

• Drill core logging, as well as plotting /interpretation of geological sections.
• Geological mapping and sampling
• Related administrative tasks
