Job Description

A Mining Company that truly values their employees, based in the Northern Cape Province has the ultimate prestige career opportunity for a General Manager who has extensive open cast mining experience. The role will manage the overall operation and functioning of the mine with particular emphasis on ensuring operational effectiveness and efficiency, ramping up production, reducing costs, maintaining a good safety record, ensuring mining operations meet business objectives, being responsible for overall compliance and risk management on the mine. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

•Mine Manager`s Certificate of Competence.

•Post Graduate Degree.

•ECSA and or AMMSA registered

•Must have at least 10 years’ experience in mining management ideally in hard rock open-pit mining

•Must have had a track record of success in increasing production

•At least 18 years post qualification experience
