SAP MM/WM Specialist required in Vanderbijlpark. A leading manufacturing business is looking for an experienced SAP MM/WM Specialist to join its SAP Centre of Excellence.
This is a hands‑on specialist role for someone who knows SAP Materials Management and Warehouse Management deeply, enjoys solving business‑critical system issues, and can work closely with users, vendors, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
You will take ownership of the SAP MM/WM environment, support key procurement and materials management processes, drive improvements, manage system changes, and help the business get more value from SAP.
Salary: Around R1.2m per annum, with flexibility for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Own and support the SAP MM/WM environment across materials management, warehouse management, procurement, and related processes
Act as the SAP MM/WM subject matter expert for the business
Support SAP users and resolve system issues within agreed service levels
Identify system bottlenecks and drive practical solutions
Manage SAP maintenance, enhancements, configuration, testing, and implementation work
Translate business needs into clear technical specifications
Manage change requests, demand requests, priorities, and order book items
Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and improve processes
Communicate system changes clearly to users and affected teams
Deliver training and guidance to SAP MM users
Support cross‑module integrations and related peripheral systems
Work with third‑party vendors, including reviewing quotations and managing approvals
Maintain documentation and improve the SAP solutions knowledge base
Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, reusable, maintainable, and delivered with minimal rework
Support audit, legal, regulatory, and governance requirements
Participate in local and global SAP forums, initiatives, and improvement projects
Keep up to date with SAP trends, best practice, and relevant cloud‑based services
Reduce operational risk and support cost‑effective SAP delivery
Provide on‑call or call‑out support when required
Build strong relationships with users, technical teams, vendors, and leadership
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or a relevant qualification
NQF 7 qualification such as HND, BTech, M‑Diploma, or similar
SAP MM and/or SAP WM experience in a complex business environment
Strong SAP configuration and implementation experience
Experience supporting SAP users and resolving business‑critical system issues
Ability to develop technical specifications for enhancements and new developments
Good understanding of procurement, materials management, and warehouse processes
Experience with SAP integrations and related business systems
Strong service delivery mindset with the ability to meet agreed service levels
Experience managing change requests, demand, priorities, and stakeholder expectations
SAP certification would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to engage with users at all levels, from operational teams to senior management
Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
Structured, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
Confident working under pressure
Good presentation, facilitation, and training skills
Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership
Able to work independently and as part of a team
