Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Start, operate, and shut down blow molding machines according to production schedules and safety standards.To do mould or colour change overs.To instruct / or and monitor staff.To liaise with supervisors on back checking non-conformities.To report breakdowns and non-conformances.To reject non-complying product.Adjust machine settings within defined parameters to maintain product quality and efficiency.Reject defective products and escalate recurring quality issues to the supervisor.Request maintenance support for equipment malfunctions.Recommend improvements to machine operation or workflow to enhance productivity.Ensure that we are producing as per works order. Ensure that products are packed according to a packing specification. Complete Quality Check on quality control documents as per company quality schedule. Set up extruder speeds on status and machine stops. Activate parison length controller (where we have it on a machine) and use the “TEST” adjustment function when required as per shared schedules. Conduct basic machine maintenance and cleaning (Autonomous Maintenance). Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions to a production supervisor and when possible a maintenance team member. Update Daily the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Leader Standard Work (LSW) operator checklist. Check machine material feeding hoppers. Monitor Polymer usage to prevent waste. Report any non-conforming situations to your immediate supervisor for corrective action to be taken. Eliminate LUMPS and waste of Raw Material during setup and running of blow molding machine.
