Lyon&Partners is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer (Pr Eng) to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional civil engineering consulting services across infrastructure and industrial projects, supporting projects from concept through to implementation and close-out.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the energy, utilities, transport, water, and built environment sectors.

Hybrid / Office and Site-Based
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA
Minimum 5 years’ relevant civil engineering experience
Experience within infrastructure and/or industrial projects
Strong understanding of engineering design standards, specifications, and industry best practices
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities
Provide civil engineering consulting and technical investigation services to clients
Develop and integrate civil engineering designs and solutions across the project lifecycle
Prepare and review engineering designs, reports, specifications, and technical documentation
Establish and approve discipline-specific engineering standards, procedures, and practices
Evaluate materials, equipment, construction methodologies, and service providers
Support innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering technology initiatives
Conduct research into new engineering technologies and methodologies
Participate in industry forums and maintain awareness of regulatory and technical developments
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and technologists
Support project execution through design reviews, site inspections, quality assurance, and technical oversight
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Skills and Competencies
Strong technical and problem-solving ability
Sound engineering judgement and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Team player with leadership capability
