Network Technician TWK Agri– Piet Retief, Mpumalanga – Permanent position.

Job Summary This role involves developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems to ensure reliable and efficient business operations. The Network Technician will diagnose issues, improve network performance, and support ongoing development to sustain a stable, high‑functioning infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Design and install computer networks, connections, and cabling.

Perform troubleshooting of system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long‑term efficiency.

Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs.

Test and configure software, maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices.

Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement.

Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interfering with others’ work.

Perform regular data backups to protect the organisation’s information.

Provide technical direction to co‑workers on computer and network usage.

Perform day‑to‑day monitoring of network tasks and manage helpdesk tickets assigned to the network team.

Qualifications and Skills

Matric / Grade 12.

CompTIA A+.

CompTIA N+.

Mikrotik MTCNA.

Cisco CCNA (advantageous).

2 years’ experience in a similar position.

Previous experience working with Linux (advantageous).

Fortinet firewall knowledge (advantageous).

Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies.

Knowledge of VPN and firewall configurations.

Good communication skills.

Outstanding diagnostic, problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Drivers’ License: Code 8.

Valid Passport.
