Remuneration: R25,000

Introduction:

Our client within the FMCG Industry, is looking for an accountant that will be responsible for both general and financial accounting; managing the organization's financial records and transactions; ensuring accurate financial reporting; tracking expenses; analyzing financial data; providing insights to aid business decision-making and ensuring the organization's compliance with all financial regulations while preparing and examining various financial documents. Additionally, the accountant will be tasked with reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and supporting financial audits. Lastly, the accountant will perform general accounts receivable, accounts payable and administrative tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ledger Accounts and Recons
• Recording financial transactions
• Reconciling accounts and statements
• Preparing financial statements
• Generating financial reports
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Analyzing financial data
• Providing tax documentation
• Performing accounts payable tasks
• Performing accounts receivable tasks
• Tracking diesel, stock (including seeds, livestock and wildlife) and sales
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, and
• Assisting during financial audits.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

• Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
• A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification (essential).
• Must be computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and accounting software.
• At least 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience in the debtors and creditors functions will be advantageous.
• Experience in the Agriculture and Food Manufacturing Industry will be beneficial to the applicant.
