Direct connection will need a Local Area Network or Cable to the back of the WiFi hub or you can just use Bluetooth or Ant+ to connect. Direct connection stops you worrying about your wireless connection dropping during your virtual races and online group rides. This was set up in the corner of my fitness suite and was used for warming up or before l went out running and some Zwift Racing or Group events. l'm now using a Watt Bike so will no longer need this trainer so just needs a new home.
