Grade12 / Matric N4 and Trade Certificate Minimum Requirements - Experience

Minimum 5 years relevant experience EXPERIENCE Experience in a planning environment Experience in Maximo or SAP 5 years at appropriate level Knowledge or Experience in Steel manufacturing or Smelting industry will be advantageous. Special Knowledge

Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge SAP and Maximo Ordering and procuring spares for maintenance activities Reliability reporting Special Skills

Compiling of weekly / monthly Reports Ability to communicate effectively and work independently. Ability to plan, organize and work under pressure Must be prepared to perform standby duties. SCOPE OF WORK / KPAs

(This is not an exhaustive list offunctions to be carried out) Utilizing and maintaining the maintenance system (electronically&manually) Maintenance, planning and supervision. Developing effective proactive maintenance plans for plant equipment Discussing and communicating failure modes to plant personnel Assisting Team Leaders with root cause failure analysis. Purchase and arrange for spares&check all critical spares Developing and updating unit Asset Register Compiling monthly reports to the General&Engineering Manager on the condition of theplant assets and plant availability Continuous development of the candidates knowledge on proactive maintenance planningaspects Attendance of regular courses and seminars on proactive maintenance planning Ensure that the Maximo PM master data, planning data and work management data arereviewedInvestigate system problems, identify and recommend solutions Conduct non-routine system analysis, evaluate and report Monitor work management discipline and asset performance figures and trends andhighlight variances Continuously seek ways of improving maintenance planning, equipment reliability andphysical maintenance in the plantMonitor corrective maintenance workload VS available manpower Report and suggest corrective action Monitor and report inconsistencies Ensure system data integrity Ability Test / Assessment
