Who are we? The business is managed within the Sanlam Group Governance Policy under the SA Retail Mass cluster, part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster, focusing on retail products and group schemes.
What will you do?
Grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass through developing and overseeing the execution of the retail branch strategy.
Guide, integrate, and standardise the activities, goals and objectives of Sales Consultants in the branch in line with the strategy.
Lead a service‑delivery culture and ecosystem within and outside the branch to enable an optimal client experience.
Assume responsibility for the day‑to‑day maintenance and management of the retail branch, including strategy development and business planning.
Ensure retail branch sales delivery and establish a service culture.
Ensure compliance, quality and risk management.
Manage operational people practices for direct reports, in collaboration with HR (talent management, performance management, individual development, grievance resolution, leave allocation, capacity management, etc.).
Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
Identify key internal and external stakeholders (Area Managers, Business Owners, activation sites, community forums, etc.) and determine effective engagement tactics to build and maintain relationships.
Education And Experience
Matric (Grade 12).
RE1 and RE5 qualifications.
120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
Class of Business accreditation (annual).
Compliance with ongoing CPD cycles.
Minimum 5 years of recent industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Service management experience is essential.
Insurance sales experience.
Credit and lending experience.
