MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB This is a one-year programme leading to registration as a registered auxiliary nurse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS This programme leads to registration in the category of Auxiliary Nurse (GN R.169 of 8 March 2013). The Registered Auxiliary Nurse with the qualification Higher Certificate in Nursing will have the necessary knowledge and skills to function in a wide variety of healthcare settings, provide basic care to patients and provide a supportive function to general nurses, professional nurses and other healthcare professionals.
