What We're Looking For:
The role of the HRBP is to partner with Management to advise, guide and support them in achieving their overall functional objectives. The HRBP will act as a trusted partner and advisor to managers and employees within the organisation, and will be responsible for implementing the people strategy in their business units. The HRBP will implement company policies and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance within the company and the operations of partner universities.
Central to the HRBP role, is to advocate for 2U's company culture by ensuring culture (and employee experience) is the central tenet in the choices we make and the advice HR provides to the company in maintaining a culture of inclusivity, accountability and trust.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- OD, Talent planning & Training:
- Partner with the business to ensure sustainable future growth by providing best practice guidance on: talent planning, change management and organisational structures
- Partner with business units to achieve succession planning by developing career pathing for key positions in line with our DEI strategy
- Work with business units to achieve annual training requirements in line with our workplace skills plan (WSP) which is submitted annually to the DoL via the annual training report (ATR)
- Performance Management & Employee Relations:
- Act as an SME for employee relations matters
- Recommend and deliver appropriate disciplinary actions / sanctions to employees in line with 2U CT/UK/AUS disciplinary policy and relevant labour legislation
- Guide managers through the application of misconduct / incapacity and operational requirements processes to minimise risk by ensuring that actions are procedurally and substantively sound
- Provide ongoing coaching to employees on documented performance management concerns
- Conduct formal investigations, personally handle or guide resolution on a variety of complex ER matters
- Enhance existing performance improvement initiatives across the organization
- Ensure business unit completion of the performance management process
- Data Integrity and Reporting:
- Ensure that Employee data is accurately recorded on the HRIS (Workday)
- Be responsible for monthly People Metrics reporting and visualisations enabling the team to report this back into business
- Compensation:
- Responsible for the facilitation of the annual increase compensation analysis cycle in the relevant business unit
- Support the business in optimal annual increase allocation
- Advise business on compensation best practices
- Project Work:
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives
- Advocate for our company culture through HR initiatives
- Implement company policies and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance with company and the operations of partner universities
- Administration:
- Work with the HR Coordinator and Shared Services team to ensure HR processes are followed and are SOX compliant
- Assist the HR Coordinator and Shared Services team with any HR related issues
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in HR/IOP
- Strong understanding of employment law
- 4+ years' HRBP experience
- 2 years ER experience
- Stakeholder Management experience
Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong customer service background
- Familiarity with HRIS systems or reporting tools
- Excellent computer skills (Google Suite)
- Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
