About the Role This senior analytics engineering role focuses on architecting and optimizing data pipelines and models that power Product Analytics, with an emphasis on eventing with e-commerce data. The position is responsible for building scalable, reliable data sources that enable advanced analytics, tracking user behaviour, purchase funnels and core e-commerce metrics to drive data‑driven decisions across product, business and operational functions.

The role partners closely with product and business stakeholders to develop trusted, actionable datasets that enhance visibility into customer engagement, enrollment patterns and e‑commerce performance. It also provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior analytics engineers, influencing data architecture and project direction for business‑critical, medium‑to‑high complexity data ecosystems spanning multiple product lines and functional areas.

Responsibilities

Cleanse and verify data integrity, enhancing data sources when required.

Exhibit best coding practices, adeptness in pipeline builds, and proficiency in transformation tools.

Analyse data to deliver insights using proven data mining techniques.

Visualise data insights, communicate findings and optimise data pipelines to enhance analytical capabilities.

Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to execute projects.

Leverage business knowledge to enhance performance and guide technical decisions.

Lead and deliver projects, supporting and mentoring analysts.

Conduct research to stay abreast of industry trends and proactively seek improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

5-7+ years of experience

in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence or similar technical fields.

Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in a mathematical or analytical field preferred (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science).

Skilled in data analysis, data engineering and business intelligence.

Advanced understanding of SQL, applying best coding practices and upskilling others.

Advanced understanding of Python, applying best coding practices and upskilling others.

Proficiency in DBT and building data pipelines while assisting others.

Experience with version control, creating pull requests, collaborating, debugging, tracking issues and documenting code.

Ability to independently develop complex data models.

Experience with a reporting tool such as Tableau.

Solid understanding of product telemetry and event data, including validation and tracking of user journeys for product analytics.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, resolve challenges swiftly and deliver adaptable approaches.

Ownership mindset, anticipating problems, testing solutions and mentoring others in problem‑solving techniques.

Experience setting quarterly goals aligned with team objectives and tracking progress in Workday.

Expertise in introducing new tools/methodologies and providing team training to enhance productivity.

Strong communication skills, tailoring messages for audience understanding and engaging respectfully in meetings.

Ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships as a trusted partner.
