Our client is looking for a motivated
Junior Solar Engineer
to join their growing renewable energy team based in
Cape Town . This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience on
solar PV projects across South Africa and Zambia .
Duties: Assist with the design and engineering of solar PV systems (commercial&utility-scale) Support site assessments, feasibility studies, and system layouts Assist with technical documentation, drawings, and reports Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, and handover Liaise with project teams, contractors, and suppliers Travel to project sites in Zambia as required
Minimum Requirements: BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar 0–2 years’ experience in solar PV or renewable energy (internship experience welcome) Basic understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, and grid connections Ability to read and interpret technical drawingsWillingness to travel internationally (valid passport required) Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Advantageous: Exposure to PVsyst, AutoCAD, or similar software Previous site or commissioning experience Knowledge of African renewable energy projects
